The automated PB.12 is a gantry construction designed especially for in-line operation for products such as:

• piles of perfect bound books and
• piles of stitched brochures

up to 60 mm / 2 1/2" in height at an output of 1,400 cycles per hour. To meet higher output rates multiple PB.12 units can be linked by conveyors. Work moves through the machine, from front to back beneath the gantry positioned drilling beam, enabling high output  from the small footprint. For jobs without holes the products pass through without drilling. The machine can be disconnected from any line quickly and moved by a pallet truck.

The PB.12 Gantry can be linked with different finishing machines of any make, e.g. directly

• behind the trimmer of a perfect binder - transfer of piles
• behind the trimmer of a stitching line - transfer of single products
• behind a stacker - transfer of piles
• behind a note pad production line - transfer of piles

For the integration into any existing production line we offer individually selectable peripheral units, e.g.

• Stackers for pile building from shingled stream or single delivery
• Turning stations for 90 or 180 degree turns of the piles
• Conveyor systems for distribution and / or merging of the material flow coming from or going to different machines
• Buffers and linking units

The design of an in-line solution includes all individual requirements, layouts and technical preconditions.
